Our story

HR Labs was founded by Priesan Appasamy after two decades watching South African companies lose good people, take expensive CCMA hits, and miss compliance deadlines — not from negligence, but from a lack of access to senior HR thinking at a price point that worked for their stage.

We built HR Labs to deliver that senior thinking — recruitment, labour relations, compliance, performance, analytics — at a retainer that fits SMEs as readily as enterprises.

The market we serve

The global HR management market sat at $19.4B in 2021 and is forecast to compound at 12.8% per year through 2030 — driven by automation, analytics, and an ever-tightening compliance environment. South African businesses, in particular, need partners who understand both the global direction and the local statute.
